Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann is open to Chelsea move in the summer. The French forward is keen to find out whether the Premier League champions will make a serious bid to sign him.

Griezmann has a reported £43m release clause, but The Telegraph suggest, Atletico Madrid are keen to negotiate his current contract to increase his buy-out clause that was inserted into his deal after joining from Real Sociedad last summer.

The Frenchman wants to finds out whether Chelsea are really interested in signing him before making any further decisions over his long term future.

Chelsea have been following him for a long time and are well aware of his Atletico contract. The versatile French forward can play anywhere across a front three and has scored 22 goals in 34 La Liga games this season.

The Premier league champions are looking to bolster their squad in the summer, with manager Jose Mourinho keen of signing Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi and Barcelona’s Pedro Rodriguez.

Diego Simeone is unlikely to sell Griezmann in the summer to Chelsea after just one season, but Atletico could be helpless if the Premier League champions pay his release clause or come up with a big money offer.
