Aberdeen vs Celtic prediction
Celtic will be out to repeat their pulsating first-half performance from last week’s Old Firm which left defending champions Rangers shell-shocked at Parkhead. Ange Postecoglou’s side created chances with ease and were 3-0 up at the break thanks to a two goals from Reol Hatate and one from Liel Abada.
Aberdeen have a tough task in their bid to get back to winning ways on Wednesday after four matches in a row without a victory. In a depressing run of form, the Dons haven’t beaten Celtic since a 1-0 away win in 2018 and have lost 13 of the 16 meetings since.
Aberdeen lost 2-1 to 10 man Livingston last time out, despite vastly superior possession and a second-half goal from Christian Ramirez. Celtic have already beaten their upcoming opponents 2-1 twice this season and such is both team’s form at the moment that an even more convincing victory for the Hoops is the likely outcome at Pittodrie on Wednesday.

Aberdeen vs Celtic betting tips
Celtic’s Old Firm win saw them leapfrog bitter rivals Rangers but only by a solitary point. Psychologically there is a big difference between chasing and leading and it will be interesting to see how Ange Postecoglou’s side react to their new position. The pressure pressure will be different and it should be remembered that this Hoops side have the youngest average age of all current Scottish Premiership sides at a youthful 25 years.
Stand-in skipper Ross McCrorie accused Aberdeen of being ‘too nice’ after his side stumbled to a 2-1 loss to Livingston which dropped them into the Premiership bottom six. It was another miserable away day for the Reds who have won just two of 13 Premiership matches on the road this season.
He said: “We are in the trenches now and need to battle more. We are too nice and we need to start being more of a team together. There were a few words spoken at the end of the game and we are in a difficult position right now. We stick together and we will get ourselves out of it.”
Aberdeen have a decent home record and have netted 16 times in 11 games so they should have enough to breach Celtic’s defence once. But there’s no doubting that the away side are on fire right now so back Celtic to keep their winning run going.
