According to The Guardian, new Tottenham Boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly targeting a reunion with Adam Lallana in the coming summer.

Pochettino, who was unveiled as Spurs boss earlier today after agreeing a five dear deal, now wants to bring his most impressive player from the south coast to White Hart Lane.

Lallana who is also a Liverpool target, has been in fine form this season scoring 9 goals and grabbing 6 assists in 38 appearances for the Saints which has rightly earned him a World Cup berth in the 30 man provisional squad for England.

Adam_Lallana_2726635b Tottenham has long admired the 26 year old, the midfielder being subject to a £20m bid from Liverpool recently, but Southampton were believed to reject the offer as the south coast club understandably want a figure close to £30m for their prized asset.

Spurs are now exploring their own chances for the English International hoping that Pochettino’s presence at North London could influence Lallana’s decision at the last moment.

Pochettino gave the clearest indication that he would look to sign the best players available in the market to ensure the club qualified for a Champions League berth next season. The Argentine also promised to deliver attacking football which would go down well with the club’s supporters.

“Tottenham Hotspur has a huge following across the world and I have great admiration for the passion the fans show for this team. We are determined to give the supporters the kind of attacking football and success that we are all looking to achieve.”

So what do you think? Will Lallana still join Liverpool or will Pochettino grab the 26 year old winger?
