Bad news for Chelsea and Manchester United fans.

German forward Thomas Muller has agreed a new deal with Bayern Munich, according to reports from German magazine Kicker, via Bayern Central.

Although the details of the contract is yet unknown, the report suggest the extension of his deal would see Muller staying at Bayern until 2021, and would become one of the best paid players in the squad.

Manchester United were heavily linked with a move for the German forward, and had a €100m bid rejected during the summer transfer window.

Recently, Premier League giants Chelsea have also shown a keen interest in the Bayern forward, who has scored 29 goals in 19 games in all competitions this season. The Blues are thought to be interested in signing him next summer with a view to replace Diego Costa.

Neven Subotic to Liverpool?

According to reports from German tabloid Bild, Liverpool could be the next destination for Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic.

The 26-year-old has struggled to get regular games this season at Dortmund and he is unhappy with his situation at the club.

Dortmund general manager Michael Zorc commented on Subotic’s situation (via Sport Witness) which has added fuel to the fire: “It’s an unusual and difficult situation for him. Neven is taking it professionally, but he is obviously not happy.”

Subotic is not in the plans of Thomas Tuchel, while Liverpool could be looking to sign a defender following the injury to Mamadou Sakho. The Bosnia defender would welcome the opportunity to play under Jurgen Klopp again.
