Three days ago, Gundogan said in an interview that he will soon make a decision about his future.  German newspaper Bild reported that both Manchester United and Real Madrid have offered Gundogan to leave Dortmund. The Bundesliga outfit are reluctant to lose yet another of their main assets and are preparing an improved contract to fend off interests from elsewhere.

According to Daily Mail, the 23-year-old’s fayher Irfan has held talks with Dortmund while London clubs Arsenal and Chelsea have also shown an interest.

The German star has a contract at the club till 2015 and has a reported release clause of around £23m. The Mail reports that Gundogan will likely to choose Man Utd as he knows that the he would get regular first-team football at the Old Trafford club, where as midfield area is fiercely congested at Real Madrid.

In December, Catalan newspaper Sport reported that Gundogan has refused Dortmund’s latest offer for contract renewals and that the club is now looking to sell him and make a profit.

It has been also reported in Spain that the player has a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid, which if true, could complicate the matters. Florentino Perez might very well get him at a reduced price – far below the €30m Dortmund want – like he did with Sahin a few years ago.
