Manchester United winger Nani, who scored the opening goal last night against United States, wants to leave Old Trafford this summer with Juventus and Atletico Madrid keen to secure his signature.

Nani signed a five-year-contract at Old Trafford last summer but faces an uncertain future, after enduring another frustrating campaign. The Portuguese winger has been heavily linked with a move to Italy, with Serie A champions Juventus are thought to be interested in signing him.

According to the reliable Sky Italia journalist Gianluca di Marzio, Juventus have not given up hopes of signing Nani and will resume talks with the player’s representatives to lure him away from Old Trafford.

Nani joined United in 2007-08 and enjoyed a successful career with the Red Devils, winning four Premier League and one Champions League title.

This summer is crucial for Manchester United as new manager Louis van Gaal will be looking to sculpt the squad to his own taste. The Dutchman will be backed with a hefty transfer war-chest to make incursions in the transfer market, while under performers at the club might be shown the door as well.

Nani’s performances have dropped considerably in the last couple of seasons and therefore United could be willing to sell him, should Juventus puts in any tempting offer for the 27-year-old winger. La Liga champions Atletico Madrid and Turkish giants Fenerbahce are also thought to be interested in Nani.
