Dutch youngster, Memphis Depay has been tracked by several European heavyweights following his remarkable performances in the Eredivisie over the last year.
The PSV winger made a positive impact at last summer’s world cup with Netherlands and was linked with moves to Tottenham and Manchester United. However, with the absence of any concrete offers from any of his suitors, Depay has begun the season impressively with PSV once again and is attracting a lot more attention.
According to recent reports in the Spanish media, Champions league winners, Real Madrid are believed to be monitoring his progress and are keen to bolster their ranks with such an impressive attacking talent.
Manchester United were believed to be leading the chase for Depay, following the arrival of Netherlands manager, Louis Van Gaal. However, the arrival of Di Maria and the development of the Belgian, Adnan Januzaj, means that United might not be keen on parting with a hefty amount for another winger.
