There is a growing feeling among the Manchester United supporters all over the world that United will actively try to sign few players before the transfer window closes. Even manager Louis van Gaal had hinted that Manchester United could involve in transfer activities in the next 48 hours.

So, when this morning, while going through our daily newspaper check ups, we came across this exciting news that Manchester United have agreed a fee for Holland international Daley Blind, our eyes did lit up.

Blind was one of the top performers for the Holland in the recently concluded World Cup in Brazil and was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.

The Daily Mail probably broke this story in England as we can’t find the report in either The Times, The Guardian or The Telegraph – the other major broadsheets. They claim Blind is set to join Manchester United from Ajax for around £14m and that both the clubs have agreed a deal.

The versatile defender needs to agree to personal terms and then he would be heading for medical and become officially a Manchester United player.

However, Daily Mail also add this to their story – “reports from Holland.” That prompted us to check stories in Holland and obviously we looked up at the best Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

The Dutch newspaper adds that a deal has been agreed for Blind, with the player’s agent Rob Jansen having secured the deal for his client last night.

The Telegraaf also claim that the fee will be around €18m similar to what Daily Mail has reported, but they add this line – “according to well-informed sources in England”.

What? So, basically English newspaper reporting a story with “sources from Holland” and Dutch newspaper conforming it as ” Sources from England” and in between Ajax agree deal for Blind with Manchester United.

We are just bit skeptical here. However, De Telegraaf journalist Mike Verweij tweeted:
