Man Utd and Tottenham target rules out move in January

Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has ruled out any chances of moving to the Premier League in the January transfer window, but has admitted that he could leave Roma in future.

The 23-year-old has been in sparkling form this season for Roma but speculation mounted in British press mainly that he in attracting interests from elsewhere.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international intends to see off his contract which is due to expire in 18 months, while as per reports in Italy, Roma are preparing a new deal for him.

“I won’t exclude the possibility of one day playing elsewhere, but I doubt this will happen soon,” said Pjanic as quoted by Sky Sports.

“It certainly won’t be in January, which is what some people have said, and certainly not in the next year and a half either.”

Tottenham Hotspur are long term admirers of Pjanic’s talent and were linked with several occasion in the past. The midfielder revealed in early June that he was close to signing for Arsenal, while in August, it was reported that Spurs have made an approach to Roma with a reported fee of £15m.

Manchester United have also been linked with the midfielder and The Telegraph reported in October, the Red Devils are expecting to make a £25 million move for the Bosnia international in January.
