Liverpool Transfer Round Up: Latest on Shaqiri, Lambert, Neto & Lucas

Liverpool are expected to be busy in the January transfer window, with the Reds may not buy several players, but one or two fringe squad players could leave for pastures new. As per latest reports from Italy, Liverpool midfielder Suso could leave the club, to join AC Milan on a four-year-deal. Let us take a look at all the latest Liverpool transfer rumours of the day.

Xherdan Shaqiri 

There have been all sorts of contradictory reports on Shaqiri. Swiss newspaper Blick, via This is Anfield, are claiming that personal terms have been agreed between the player and Liverpool, but the deal is unlikely to go through because of FFP rulings.

Italian news media TMW cites SportItalia as their source, and claim Inter Milan are confident of securing a deal for the Swiss forward. They cite Alfredo Pedulla, a popular transfer-market prediction specialist, who claims that officials of the two clubs have made contacts and the results are positive. The Nerazzurri are trying to pen to paper at the earliest.

Rickie Lambert 

Reds striker Rickie Lambert has emerged as an early target for Crystal Palace new manager Alan Pardew. 

Pardew is keen to bolster his strike force in January and has inquired about the availability of Lambert, via The Guardian. Liverpool are keen to retain the services of Lambert, who has made only 10 stats this season.

Norberto Neto

Liverpool target Neto is close to agreeing a four-year-deal with Italian champions Juventus, as per Corriere Fiorentino, via Inside Football.

The Brazilian is expected to sign a four-year deal with the Italian champions and will receive a salary of around €2m per season.

Lucas Leiva

Lucas has emerged as a key player in Brendan Rodgers’ midfield once again, having produced series of good performances of late. He is now a regular starter in the side, and it’s highly unlikely he will sold in January.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, via TMW are claiming that Lucas still remains the first priority for Inter Milan in the January transfer window.
