Liverpool star injured just before the World Cup

Big news coming from Uruguay is Luis Suarez has picked up an injury in training.


Luis Suarez has damaged his meniscus and will undergo surgery on Thursday morning, according to Uruguayan journalist Martin Charquero. The recovery time is generally 4-6 weeks and he should be ready for the World Cup, but the doctors can’t confirm anything right now.

Pablo Suarez, brother of Luis Suarez, confirmed the news on twitter. Local newspaper also confirmed the injury.

Uruguay are placed in the group of death with England, Costa Rica, and Italy, they will be certainly hoping Suarez plays a big part to help them qualify for the knockout rounds.
