According to reports from the Liverpool Echo, Jordan Ibe is in line for a new contract at Liverpool which will tie him to the club on a long term deal. It is reported that the 19 year old teenager is set to be offered wages worth £25,000-a-week. Should the contract extension take place, Ibe would thus have his wages doubled as he currently earns £6,000-a-week.

Manager Brendan Rodgers’ decision to recall Ibe from his loan spell at Derby County has been nothing short of a master-stroke. The teenager is now a guaranteed starter for the Reds in the right wing and his performances over the past few weeks has been nothing short of exceptional.

Ibe started the Merseyside derby against Everton ehere he was arguably Liverpool’s best player on the pitch while his performances against Tottenham and Southampton has been eye-catching. The ex Wycombe trainee is already being tipped for an England call-up and it is believed that he can match Raheem Sterling’s development at Liverpool.
