Leicester City and Newcastle United are interested in signing Schalke defender Ozan Kabak this summer.

The 21-year-old joined Liverpool on loan during the January transfer window, and they had the option to sign him permanently at the end of the season.

However, the Premier League giants have decided not to use the option and have signed Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig.

According to Bild, there could be a massive exodus at Schalke this summer, and Kabak is likely to be on the chopping block.

Leicester and Newcastle are keeping tabs on the young Turkish defender and will have to pay around €25 million to secure his services.

Kabak enjoyed an impressive loan spell in the Premier League with Liverpool, and there is no doubt that he is ready for English football.

Newcastle need some extra quality in the centre-back department, and Kabak would be a superb long term investment for the club.

Leicester are in the market for a replacement for Jonny Evans, and Kabak fits the profile of players they tend to sign.

He has the potential to justify the financial outlay and the experience to make an immediate impact in the Premier League next year.
