Felix Wiedwald completed his move from Leeds United to German club Eintracht Frankfurt, the Yorkshire club have confirmed on their official website.

The 28-year-old joined Leeds last season from Werder Bremen, and despite making 30 appearances for the Whites in all competitions, he was hardly convincing.

He lost his starting role to Northern Ireland keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell, and the club have decided to let him go on a permanent move.

He endured a nightmare spell at Elland Road, and his poor form coincided with Leeds’ dismal performance overall as well.

According to reports from the BBC, he has left the club for an undisclosed fee. Wiedwald has signed a three year deal with the German Bundesliga side.

He was expected to become Leeds’ first-choice goalkeeper in the foreseeable future, but Leeds fans quickly got frustrated with him as he was error prone and was not comfortable with picking up crosses from wide areas.

Leeds fans believe that he is a good riddance and that the club have done a brilliant piece of business by shipping him out.
