Leeds United have once again been tipped to make a move for Uruguayan midfielder Nahitan Nandez.

The Cagliari star has been linked with Leeds every week over the last month, and Calciomercato has claimed that they are leading the race to secure his services.

Roma were also keen on Nandez, but their interest has waned leaving Leeds in pole position to sign him.

The player is reportedly valued at €36 million, but Cagliari may be willing to sell for less despite him having a release clause in his contract.

The report also adds that relations between the presidents of the two clubs, Tommaso Giulini and Andrea Radrizzani, are excellent.

SL View: Ideal fit for Bielsa-ball

Leeds could definitely use a tactically intelligent midfielder next season who can play multiple roles, and Nandez seems like a good option.

He has the ability to adapt to English football, is an excellent presser of the ball and would fit right in at Elland Road.

Leeds have been excellent in the Premier League this season, but they have a small squad.

Marcelo Bielsa must address this issue and bring in more quality options during the summer transfer window.

Leeds finished ninth in their first year back in the top flight and a stronger squad could help them push for European qualification next time around.
