Serie A Champions Juventus are plotting an audacious move for Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann, who is a long term target of Arsenal.

The 23-year-old has had a fantastic campaign, where he scored 16 goals for Sociedad in the La Liga. Though the dazzling Frenchman never spoke about his intentions of leaving the club, he did however hinted of joining Arsenal in future, back in March.

During the January transfer window journalist Alfredo Duro claimed, the Gunners had made a €14m bid for the highly rated winger. And even Arsene Wenger confirmed that the Gunners had been following the player for quite sometime now.

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport now reports that Arsenal have lodged a formal offer of €24m for the French winger, but Juventus could be willing to match that price.

The Turin giants have been targeting Angel di Maria of Real Madrid, but following the Argentine’s impressive performance in the Champions League final, chances of getting him are not only slim but impossible as well. Likewise, Juventus feel that luring Madrid striker Alvaro Morata won’t be an easy task either.

The club has been exploring the possibility of signing Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez and Manchester United’s Nani, but now have shifted their attention to Griezmann as well. Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has made initial contacts with Sociedad but expects tough competition from Arsenal and PSG.
