Serie A Champions Juventus are showing keen interest in Bayern Munich’s highly rated winger Xherdan Shaqiri, who is also a reported target of Liverpool.
Liverpool are heavily linked with a move for the young Swiss winger, who produced a solid performance for Switzerland, helping his side earn a dramatic 2-1 victory over Ecuador in the Group E opener.
Reports emerged last week that the Reds have opened talks with Bayern Munich over the possible signing of the €20m rated winger. Reliable Sky Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that talks are ongoing between both the clubs at the moment.
German newspaper Bild now claims that Liverpool are not the only club vying for his signature; the 22-year-old is attracting interest from Juventus as well.
If the reports are to be believed Liverpool should be in pole position to sign Shaqiri. Liverpool can not only provide him regular game time (which he lacks at Bayern) but with the Champions League platform too at the same time.
Furthermore, the Merseyside giants are in a strong financial position to meet Bayern’s asking price and won’t find difficulty in matching his personal demands as well.
Juventus have other wing-targets as well, like Alexis Sanchez, who could leave Barcelona in the summer. Italian newspaper Tuttosport claim that the Old Lady have offered €18m plus €3m bonuses for the highly rated Chilean winger.
