Chelsea are ready to sell Colombian international Juan Cuadrado to Serie A champions Juventus next summer on a permanent basis, according to reports from ESPN.

Cuadrado joined Chelsea for a reported fee of £23.3m from Fiorentina in the 2015 January transfer window. However, he failed to make a strong impression at the London club, and was sent on loan to Juventus this summer.

The Colombian international has found his mojo back in Italy, and recent reports suggest the 27-year-old may soon be taking up permanent residence in Turin.

Alessandro Lucci, the midfielder’s agent, will reportedly meet the officials of Juventus this weekend to discuss about a possible transfer move.

Cuadrado doesn’t have a release clause for a permanent move but Chelsea are said to be open to letting him go on a decent discount.

Lionel Messi eyeing Premier League move?

Sky Sports’ pundit Guillem Balague says that Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is learning English in preparation for a possible move to England in future.

Balague says that Messi keeps in touch with his former teammate Cesc Fabregas and countryman Sergio Aguero at Manchester City, and has heard that England is a great place to live and play.

“He’s never been closer to leaving Barcelona, he is thinking about it,” Balague said as quoted by talkSport.

The Argentine superstar is currently nursing his knee injury he suffered at the start of September. Although Messi is likely to stay at Barca, but ESPN writer Graham Hunter believes that his stay at the Catalan club is far from guaranteed.

Okay. Let’s not get carried away with such speculations, but if Messi indeed wishes to play in England, Chelsea will have a great chance to sign him. The Blues have the financial power to meet his massive release clause and can make him the highest paid player in the country.
