Has Jose Mourinho already started planning for life at Manchester United with Paul Pogba in his midfield for the upcoming 2016/17 season? The answer could be ‘yes’.
According to latest reports in Italy, Manchester United are close to sealing a €125 million (£105m) deal for the French midfielder. Pogba is believed to have been offered a five-year contract worth €12 million per season and he has already accepted the proposal gleefully.
Mourinho’s wife Matilde tweeted “ready to Beijing” with a blurred image of Jose standing in front of a tactics board with some names on it. Although pretty blurry, so it could be anything but one United fan did an excellent job to point out the names.
And guess what…it has Pogba’s name written on the team sheet. Basically, Mourinho has chalked down the options he has for various positions. United fans will be happy to see Pogba’s name on that sheet, however, it doesn’t imply anything except the Frenchman is in Mourinho’s plans for the next season, which we already know by now.
One thing is for certain: United will try their best to lure Pogba to Old Trafford this summer. Juventus would love to have Pogba with them for the upcoming season but the club might be tempted to sell him if they receive anything over €120m for the Frenchman.
