Chelsea won their fifth Premier League title on Sunday and claimed the double following the Capital One Cup success in March.

Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois, John Terry, Cesc Fabregas, Nemanja Matic, Diego Costa, everyone have contributed their part in Chelsea’s title triumph – but the real architect behind this success is none other than their manager, Jose Mourinho, himself.

The Portuguese collected his third Premier League trophy for Chelsea and assured the fans that he will stay at the club to win more trophies, as long as owner Roman Abramovich wants him to stay.

Mourinho won six trophies in three years during his first spell at the club between 2004-07 but fell out with Abramovich and left the club by “mutual consent” in 2007.

After enjoying successful spells at Inter Milan and Real Madrid, he returned to Chelsea in June 2013 and has now pledged to stay at the club until he is asked to leave by the Chelsea owner.

“I stay here as long as Mr Abramovich wants me,” he said. “The day he tells me to go, I go.

“Remember, he is the man who won every title at Chelsea. If he has all the replicas, he needs a big house.”

Needless to say, Chelsea fans see Mourinho as the “Special One” and they would want him to stay at the club for years to come. In a way this is also presents a different challenge for Mourinho. He has won trophies in four different countries but the time is right for him to look forward to building a legacy with Chelsea, similar to what Sir Alex Ferguson did with Manchester United.
