Serie A giants Inter Milan have finally secured a deal for Lazio winger Antonio Candreva. The Biancocelesti President, Claudio Lotito, has cleared the player’s departure, according to reports from Italian publication Gazzetta World.

Premier League giants Chelsea were also heavily linked with a move for the 29-year-old winger and Antonio Conte even putting him near the top of his summer wishlist. However, the Blues dropped down their interest in recent weeks with Antonio Conte focussing on strengthening the squads in other areas of need.

Lazio have accepted a €22m transfer fee paid up front while a bonus sum of €3m to be paid over four years. The Italy international will now travel to San Siro to complete his medical with the Nerazzurri.

Candreva will sign a four-year deal with Inter and is set to earn over €2.7m each season. Gazzetta claims that the player has already signed the contract and the papers will be officially submitted to league officials this week. The confirmation of the deal could take place within the next 48 hours.
