Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze has been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena this summer.

The highly talented attacking midfielder has failed to make his mark at Bayern Munich since joining them from Borussia Dortmund. Gotze’s contract with the German club ends next year and he is looking to kick-start his career with a move away from Munich this summer.

The German attacking midfielder has been linked with a move to Liverpool. Gotze played his best football under the current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp when he was in charge of Dortmund and apparently the duo are looking to work together again.

Earlier it was reported that Liverpool have submitted a 25 million Euros offer for the World Cup winner.

The player wants a move away and Bayern Munich cannot guarantee him first team football and therefore Liverpool are looking to seize the opportunity and snap him up on a bargain.

Recently there were reports that the new Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti has not given Gotze any first team assurances and advised the player to switch clubs if he wants to play regularly next season.

Those rumours have now intensified after Gotze confirmed that there were transfer talks with Ancelotti regarding his future. Although he did not reveal the outcome of those talks, Liverpool submitting a bid immediately fuels further speculations that the player might be off to Anfield this summer.

Gotze said: “I don’t know how the journalists found out. I didn’t know that someone else has heard our conversation.”

“There are a few people who know what has been discussed. They know what has been said. That’s enough.”
