Manchester United have agreed a deal with Italian club Fiorentina to sell midfielder Anderson on loan, according to Sky Italy.

The 25-year-old has had a frustrating season so far and has played a peripheral role under new David Moyes. He has made only 4 league appearances this season, while it became quite clear that the Brazilian doesn’t hold any future at Old Trafford.

Anderson joined Manchester United from Porto for a reported fee of €30m in 2007 and has made 104 league appearances for the Red Devils, scoring only 5 goals in the league.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Fiorentina will sign him on loan at the moment, with an option of buying him for €6.5m at the end of the season. He will have his medical later this week.

Anderson struggled to get regular games with Moyes preferring central midfield partnership of Carrick and Cleverley. Further, he dropped down the pecking orders, after the return of Darren Fletcher from illness.
