Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Manchester City v Norwich City - Etihad StadiumManchester City star midfielder David Silva has revealed he has no thoughts of leaving the newly crowned Premier League champions in the summer transfer window.

The Spain international was one of the key players in the Citizens squad, which saw Manuel Pellegrini win the league title in his debut season in England. The 28-year-old scored seven goals and managed nine assists from 27 league appearances during their title winning campaign.

Silva says he is happy after helping City lift the Premier League title and has heaped praise over the former Real Madrid manager for his role in their recent success.

“You never get tired of winning and at the moment I’m winning with City, so I don’t have any ideas of making a change. We scored a lot of goals this season and it looks as though it’s building up to a good future,” Silva said.

“The manager has created a good atmosphere and brought a better energy to the pace and the result of that is we have won two trophies so far,” he added.

Silva remains uncertain over his long-term future as he believes the decision to extend his stay at the Etihad beyond the specified period is in the club’s hands. However, the Spaniard has reiterated that he has no desire to leave City.

“That depends on the club, not necessarily on me. At the moment I’m happy and happy to stay there. With football you can never predict what’s going to happen but at the moment I’m very happy and don’t see any changes,” the former Valencia midfielder concluded.

The midfielder has made it to the Spain squad for the summer event in Brazil as his national team will set to defend their title of being World Champions.
