Chelsea were knocked out of the Champions League after they suffered 3-1 defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid in the second leg at Stamford Bridge last night. Now the focus shifts on the league and David Luiz feels Chelsea still have a great chance of lifting the Premier League trophy.

The Blues are just two points behind Liverpool and Luiz believes that as long mathematical equation permits them to be in the race, the club will fight for glory.

Luiz has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge on several occasions this season, with reports emerging in Spain that Barcelona are heavily interested in him and have made him top priority in the summer.

The Catalan giants are looking to find a long term replacement of legendary skipper Carles Puyol and have targeted Luiz to fill that role.

Luiz despite featuring heavily in the Champions League, has only made 15 league starts this season, with Mourinho using him mostly in the central midfield role.

When Luiz was asked to comment on his future at Chelsea, as noted by Brazilian media, Lancenet, he said “God Knows”

Clearly it shows that Luiz is not confident and assured about his Chelsea future. Mourinho trusts the central pair of Terry and Cahill, while young players like Kalas and Zouma could be given more opportunities next season, so, Chelsea might sell Luiz in the summer, if the offer is right.
