Former Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo is finding it hard to witness the current plight of the Red Devils and the Real Madrid forward is keen to return to Old Trafford in the future.

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has claimed in Cristiano Ronaldo’s biography that the Premier League giants have been in touch with the Real Madrid star’s agent and has informed him of their desire to bring him back.

Balague’s report states that Cristiano dreams of a return to Manchester United.

The Portuguese superstar has also been tracked by PSG, who are willing to break the bank for his services.

Furthermore, Cristiano Ronaldo has also admitted that Manchester United are extremely close to his heart and their current situation is hard to witness.

The Real Madrid star has claimed that he would love to see them getting back to their former glories.

“For me it’s hard to see that because it’s a club I love and of course I want to see Manchester United in a level that it was in the past.

“I like to see the club that I like in the top – and I think Manchester, this season, is better but I think they still have work to do to be in [the] level of six, seven years ago”, he said.

It will be interesting to see how the Manchester United fans react to this revelation. Ronaldo is a massive fan favourite at Old Trafford and in their current circumstances, the United fans would love nothing more than a return of their former hero.
