ramadanTrabzonspor have confirmed they have agreed terms to sign Liverpool defender Kolo Toure this summer.

Liverpool signed the Ivory Coast international on a free transfer from Manchester City last year. The former Arsenal defender arrived at Anfield on a two-year deal and his current deal at the Merseyside club runs down at the end of the next season.

The Daily Mail believes the Turkish club has willing to pay Brendan Rodgers’ side a transfer fee of £1.5m for Toure’s services after Trabzonspor president revealed the deal has been agreed.

“We have agreed terms with Kolo Toure and we will bring him to the club,” The Daily Mail quoted Trabzonspor president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu as saying.

Toure’s future at Liverpool became uncertain as the former Swansea City manager signed Dejan Lovren from Southampton. The Croatian international is likely to be a regular figure in the Reds’ starting lineup.

Rodgers has several options in the central defending position as he has the services of Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger and Mamadou Sakho, along with Toure. With several players available in the centre-back position, the Northern Irishman would allow the former City man and cash in from his transfer.
