Chelsea Team News & Preview
Chelsea host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Friday and the Blues will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing draw against Swansea last weekend.
Despite their continued dominance, they failed to convert their chances and were punished by an efficient Swansea side.
The Blues had to do well to secure the draw late in the game even though they opened the scoring.
Defensively, Chelsea have not been at their best since last season and will need to improve significantly against the likes of Mane, Firmino, and Sturridge.
Antonio Conte has had a superb start to the season despite last week’s draw and will want to extend Chelsea’s unbeaten run when Liverpool come to town tomorrow.
The Blues have won three and have drawn one of their last four matches in the League.
Chelsea will be without two of their best defenders for the clash against Liverpool. Captain John Terry has been ruled out for 10 days with an ankle injury and Kurt Zouma is still recovering from his knee injury.
Therefore David Luiz is expected to start here alongside Gary Cahill.
Chelsea’s Predicted Starting Lineup (4-1-4-1): Courtois; Ivanovic, Luiz, Cahill, Azpilicueta; Kante; Hazard, Matic, Oscar, Willian; Diego Costa
