La Liga outfit Valencia have turned down a huge offer from Chelsea for the Portuguese international Andre Gomes.
The Valencia midfielder is a man in demand this summer and is a target for Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United.
That has not stopped Chelsea and Juventus from trying. Both clubs have been actively pursuing the La Liga midfielder over the last few weeks and Chelsea have now submitted the highest offer so far.
It seems that Valencia are holding out for a bumper fee in order to compensate for the sell on percentage they would have to pay Benfica.
Chelsea’s offer of 50 million Euros has been rejected according to Mirror and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League giants return with another improved offer soon. Juventus are closing in on a sale of Paul Pogba and could theoretically afford Gomes, but the Italian giants are not known to break the bank for young talents.
Conte is looking to add energetic central midfielders to his side and is determined to sign the Portuguese international. He has been looking at the Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan as well.
