Chelsea have been dealt a bitter blow before their crunch Champions League clash against the French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The Premier League champions could be without two of their key players in Oscar and John Terry for the first leg of the knockout round tie.

Oscar missed Chelsea’s thumping 5-1 win over Newcastle with a calf problem and is a major doubt for tomorrow’s Champions league game away from home. As for the Chelsea captain, John Terry injured himself after a collision with the Newcastle striker Mitrovic and will be assessed closer to kick-off.

Chelsea have had a season to forget so far and the Champions League is their only chance of redemption. The Blues are unlikely to qualify for next season’s Champions League through their league position and therefore, Hiddink will look to win the competition this season.

Considering their defensive problems this season, Terry’s absence will be a major blow coming up against the likes of Di Maria, Cavani and Ibrahimovic.

Furthermore, now that Kurt Zouma is ruled out for the rest of the season, it will be interesting to see if Hiddink is brave enough to hand his new signing Matt Miazga his Chelsea debut in a vital Champions League game.
