According to French newspaper, Le 10 Sport, Chelsea are honing in on a PSG wonderkid, Adrien Rabiot.

The 18-year-old, who recently scored his first goal for the French outfit, is said to have been scouted by the Blues when on loan to Toulouse last season. The English paper, The Metro, affirmed these reports this week; with the Blues set to offer £10 up front for the midfielder.

The Metro reports that the deal would be further sweetened by the allowance of Rabiot to remain on loan at the Parc des Princes next season; this all amid suspicions that a strengthening of relationships would go far in resolving the protracted Juan Mata saga.

This week, we brought you the rumour that any Mata-PSG deal could have a great effect on the supposed Falcao transfer to Chelsea in January; with the Blues looking to free up space and funds in order to capture the Monaco striker.

With Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham all having scouted the Frenchman in recent weeks; Jose Mourinho will hope that PSG’s wish to build bridges with the London side will be a deciding factor in the future of Rabiot.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are considering a move for Getafe’s Romanian striker, Ciprian Marica, as they look to bring in reinforcements in January.

The Metro report that the Gunners are battling with rivals Tottenham for the 28-year-old; with Arsene Wenger casting a wide net in his search for competition for Olivier Giroud.

Marica, who can also play as a second striker or a winger, is considered a cheaper option compared to long-standing targets; Karim Benzema and Christian Benteke.
