Chelsea youngster Nathaniel Chalobah is close to joining Serie A side Napoli on a season long loan deal, according to reports in Italy.
The 20-year-old defender, who can also play as a midfielder, has arrived in Naples, to undergo his medical.

Chalobah is a highly rated youngster and Chelsea have no intentions of selling him permanently at the moment.
The 20-year-old joined Chelsea at the age of 10 from Fulham. He started featuring regularly for Chelsea reserves and youth sides, and led the Chelsea side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2012.
Chalobah was an unused substitute for the Chelsea team at the age of 15, in a league cup clash with Newcastle United, and even travelled with the team to the 2012 Champions League final in Munich, which Chelsea won.
The youngster has recently signed a five year contract at the club, and wishes to stay in London for the entire career.
Jose Mourinho understands that getting first team football is difficult for him at the moment at Chelsea, and hence he was allowed to join Napoli on loan.

Good luck to Nathaniel Chalobah at Napoli, whose new manager Maurizio Sarri said of his arrival: “I don’t know anything about the player.”
