Chelsea are desperate to agree a deal with their most promising youth talent Charly Musonda. The Premier League champions want him to sign an extension.

But the Belgian is looking for a move away from Stamford Bridge due to the lack of first team chances.

Musonda is regarded as one of the finest young talents in the world and Telegraph have reported that he is believed to be more talented than the Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard and the Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne were at his age.

Musonda has attracted a lot of interest from European heavyweights like Arsenal, Monaco and Manchester United.

The 19 year old is looking to play for the senior team and has not had his fair share of opportunities under Jose Mourinho.

Earlier this season, the player’s father confirmed that the player needs to leave Chelsea for the sake of his future.

Musonda is good enough to be a part of the first team and the player wants to play regularly.

Although he hasn’t got that chance at Chelsea so far, it might be possible at other clubs. The player was approached with an attractive proposal by Monaco earlier this season.

Telegraph have also stated that Chelsea are desperate to keep the young attacking midfielder and are willing to offer him a contract extension imminently.

However the player’s priority is to play first team football and if it stays that way, it is hard to see how Chelsea can hold on to him. The youngster is well behind the likes of Oscar, Hazard, Willian and Pedro in the pecking order.
