Love him, hate him, but you simply cannot ignore him – that’s Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho for you. In a recent interview with Japanese magazine Sports Graphic Number, he revealed few interesting things about his personal life, Manchester United’s Shinji Kagawa and relationship with players.

He speaks about his pre-match rituals and reveals that to keep himself calm and focused, he reads few chapters of Holy book, The Bible. “Always gives me a positive feeling”, he said.

We all know he keeps a high opinion about himself. During his first spell with Chelsea, he declared himself as a “Special One” while his bloated ego has been well documented in the past. Again, in that interview, he says that “There is only one Jose Mourinho in this world. The problem is that many want to talk about me, even those who do not know me at all,”

The Portuguese further added that he tried to sign Manchester United player Shinji Kagawa during his time at Real Madrid.

Mourinho told him that he would have to play the role of second fiddle to Mesut Ozil, as the German was his first choice, and at the end the Japansese star chose Manchester United, probably to get more game time. It is highly ironic that Kagawa is now struggling to get regular games under new manager David Moyes.

Further, he added that a player and the manager can be friends at times, citing example of Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, whom Mourinho treats as a friend.
