Celtic launched their away kit for the 2018/19 season earlier today.
New Balance football have incorporated the club’s rich history into a modern design.
The new away kit comes with the Celtic cross crest that showcases the club’s Irish heritage. Furthermore, it pays homage to the first ever Celtic jersey as well.
The Scottish champions have launched their new away kit as a part of their campaign ‘Only the Bold’. The campaign highlights the values of Celtic as a family club that has faced every challenge together and boldly.
The away shirt features the colours White and Eden Green. There is a bonded tape on the shoulders and the Eden Green shorts complete the look.
The socks are cushioned around the ankle in order to provide comfort and protection. Also, the design will help the players to play with power and support.
Speaking to the club’s media about the new away kit, Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, said: “The new kit looks fantastic. When we’re playing away from home, we want to represent our great club the best we can. It really captures the spirit of Celtic and I can’t wait to wear it on the pitch for the first time. I’m sure our fans will love it too.”
General Manager of New Balance Football, Kenny McCallum said: “Bringing back the Celtic Cross has transformed this kit into something truly special. Alongside the tartan design, this kit shows the spirit of the club and its strong heritage. We know this will be popular with Celtic fans around the world and I can’t wait to see their reaction.”
Here is how the fans reacted to their new kit.
