Bayern Munich head into the weekend with a two point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table as they travel to face 10th place Eintracht Frankfurt.
Eintracht Frankfurt v Bayern Munich Preview
Bayern Munich have not lost since the winter break and have a 7-2-0 record during that streak. They are two points above second place Schalke and three points above third place Bayer Leverkusen. Frankfurt have 35 points, 12 points above the relegation zone and eight points from 5th place (the last Europa League spot).
Frankfurt are on a losing streak of three straight matches and probably out of contention for a spot in the Europa League. They will be without several players for the match including Patrick Ochs, Maik Franz and Selim Teber (suspended) as well as injured players Aleksandar Vasoski, Zlatan Bajramovic, Ioannis Amantidis, and Nikos Liberopoulos.
Bayern do not have many injury concerns but will be without Mario Gomez and Martin Demichelis. Franck Ribery and Bastian Schweinsteiger are set to return for the match. The key player for Bayern in recent weeks has been Arjen Robben, who transferred from Real Madrid in August 2009, and has 10 goals in 17 Bundesliga matches and two in last week’s win over SC Freiburg.
It should be a win for Bayern Munich but a draw is within reach for Eintracht Frankfurt.
