Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.

The £25m midfielder will be sold to fund moves for the likes of Cavani and Dybala as the Italians look to beef up their attacking options this summer. Despite rumours linking Pogba with a move away, it seems Juventus are set to keep hold of the Frenchman and let of Vidal and Pirlo instead.

Arsene Wenger has always been a keen admirer of Vidal and once labelled him as an ‘athlete playing football’.

Arsenal’s midfield deficiencies are no secret and a player Vidal’ calibre would galvanise them and maybe turn them into proper title contenders next season. Riddled with young talent, Arsenal have often fallen short due to the lack of experience and a signing like Vidal addresses that.

The tough tackling, combative midfielder will add much needed tenacity and defensive cover to the Arsenal midfield. Furthermore, Vidal is an excellent player going forward as well and can easily add 10-15 goals from the midfield. Alongside the likes of Ramsey and Ozil, Vidal could form a deadly trio for the Gunners.

According to South American Journalist Hernan Feler, Arsenal have reached an agreement with Vidal and the transfer will be announced after Copa America.

“After the Copa America of Chile, the arrival of Arturo Vidal in the Arsenal will be made official,” Feler said.

“It is fully closed. He will be companion of Alexis”, his tweet said.

Aside of his world class ability, Vidal is a proven winner with Juventus and his experience could prove valuable as Arsenal look to take it to the next level and win trophies every season.
