According to Tuttosport, Arsenal are considering an alternative to their initial targets, Benzema and Lewandowski.

It appears that neither Real Madrid nor Bayern Munich are willing to cash in on their prized asset and Wenger has now turned his attention towards Juventus striker, Fernando Llorente.

Arsene Wenger knows the importance of signing another striker if he wants to win the league and Llorente comes with proven pedigree and lots of experience.

The former Bilbao man is a proven goalscorer, both in the league as well as Europe. The Spaniard has been out of favour at Juventus and is looking for a move away from Turin.

Arsenal are not the only club looking at the striker as cross-town rivals Tottenham Hotspurs are looking to replace Roberto Soldado as well. Mauricio Pochettino is willing to go the distance for the €12m Serie A striker in order to reinforce his striking options this summer.

Llorente seems like a great option for both teams who could use another striker, especially considering the bargain price of 8.5 million pounds.

It will be certainly interesting to see which of the London clubs end up with the in demand Spaniard, but one would have admit that with the kind of resources they have and the lure of Champions league football, Arsenal are clear favorites to win this race.
