Arsene Wenger says that French defender Laurent Koscielny has an outside chance of making into the starting lineup when Arsenal take on Watford this weekend.

Koscielny suffered a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s 2-3 defeat against Olympiakos in the Champions League and hasn’t played since. He didn’t participate in the last two games for France’s Euro 2016 qualifiers and missed Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Manchester United in the Premier League as well.

Wenger said on the club’s official website: “Koscielny has a slight chance to be back on Saturday. He has a definite test tomorrow.

The Arsenal boss has also revealed that Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini have returned to full training, and both are in contention to play against Watford.

“Arteta and Flamini are back in full training. We need to see how they are and how confident they are, but we can’t rule it out.”

Arsenal Transfer Rumours

Real Madrid striker Jese Rodriguez has only managed 138 minutes of football this season for his club. He is reportedly frustrated at his lack of playing time at the Bernabeu and may look to move elsewhere to revive his career.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Inter Milan and Napoli are interested in signing the 22-year-old striker. Premier League club Aston Villa, who enquired about his availability last season, could try their luck again, while Arsenal are also monitoring his situation closely.

Alexis-Sanchez

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has played down the transfer talks of him joining Real Madrid next summer. He said

“I’m very happy at Arsenal, I don’t think about leaving.

“I always want to be the best at everything I do. I’m never happy with what I do, I always want to give more.”

Sanchez has been in fine form this season, scoring six goals in his last three games for the Gunners. Arsenal have no intentions of selling him, rather the club are looking to tie him down for a longer period with a lucrative contract shortly.
