Brazilian defender Danilo has squashed claims that he will be joining Arsenal in the summer by insisting that he is happy at Portuguese giants Porto. It is believed that the 22 year old is on the wish list of manager Arsene Wenger who is in the market to find a suitable replacement for the departing Bacary Sagna.

daniloDanilo who is also a right back wants to leave his future in the hands of Porto and the player will wait till there will be any offers to leave.

“I’ll say what is usually said, I am contracted until 2016,” Danilo told ESPN Brazil.

“I am playing at Porto and have been playing well, which makes you get linked with top clubs. But there is a big difference between that and an offer that Porto accepts. I am happy at the moment and I am prepared to return to Porto.”

“If something good for everyone comes along, we’ll sit down, but for now it is just speculation.”

Arsene Wenger is desperate to add quality additions in his side in the summer and the Frenchman wants to mount a serious Premier League title challenge in the coming season after the Gunners ended an eight year drought without silverware, beating Hull City at Wembley to claim the FA Cup last month.
