Youngest Champions League Goalscorers

FC Barcelona’s Bojan Krkic scored against Schalke 04 on Tuesday, 1 April to become the youngest goalscorer in a Champions League knockout match.

Peter Ofori-Quaye is still the youngest player to score a Champions League goal but he scored in the group stage.

Krkic missed Ofori-Quaye’s record, which has stood for over 10 years, by just 23 days. Cesc Fábregas was also exactly the same age as Krkic when he scored his first in the competition.

However, Krkic is the youngest goalscorer in a knockout match in the competition, taking the record from Obafemi Martins.

Only nine teenagers have scored in the knockout stages of the Champions League with only two — Patrick Kluivert and Carlos Alberto — scoring in the final before their 20th birthday.

List after the jump.
