A three match winless streak ended for West Ham after they managed to beat their cross town rivals Crystal Palace in the Premier League clash last weekend at Selhurst Park. The Eagles forward Dwight Gayle was given marching orders by the referee for his second yellow card in the first half.

Carl Jenkinson’s goal was cancelled by former Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye’s penalty. However, two late goals from Manuel Lanzini and Dmitri Payet helped the Hammers seal three points.

Slaven Bilić has already helped West Ham seal three points against Manchester City and Arsenal. He will be looking to beat the Blues later this weekend in front of home fans.

Chelsea have struggled in the league this season. They have managed only three wins so far this season, which includes only one away win. That victory was against West Bromwich Albion, where summer signing Pedro scored and assisted as well.

Since then, the former Barcelona star has struggled and he has joined Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas in the list of players who had a poor start to the new season. Jose Mourinho was once again frustrated after a goalless draw against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League.

Team News

Former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song will miss the weekend fixture due to foot injury. He is joined by Winston Reid, who is on the sidelines with thigh injury.

In addition to this, calf muscle strain will rule Joey O’Brien to miss West Ham’s clash against the Premier League winners.

No fresh injury concern for the Portuguese tactician. Star goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is still on the sidelines with knee injury and the Belgium international is expected to return at the end of this year.

Defender Branislav Ivanovic picked up hamstring injury earlier this month and will not be fit to face West Ham. Loic Remy has suffered a knock and he is also not available to face the London rivals.
