Arsene Wenger has challenged his nemesis Jose Mourinho to round on the Chelsea racists who shoved a black man off a Paris metro before the Blues’ match with PSG this week.

The Chelsea fans, who were heard chanting “we’re racists, we’re racist and that’s the way we like it”, have come under widespread criticism, including from British Prime Minister David Cameron.

Three fans have now been suspended from Stamford Bridge as investigations continue to find the the rest of the racist perpetrators.

And Wenger, labelling the fans as “pathetic”, says his rival Mourinho must make a public stand against those involved. “I don’t think managers agree with that kind of behaviour,” he told reporters. “There’s no reason why you should not be 100 per cent against that.”

Chelsea, meanwhile, confirmed that three fans have been banned as the hunt for the rest continues.

A Chelsea statement read: “Chelsea Football Club is suspending three people from Stamford Bridge as a result of investigations into the incident on the Paris Metro on Tuesday evening.

“If it is deemed there is sufficient evidence of their involvement in the incident, the club will issue banning orders for life.

“We have received substantial information to date following our witness appeal and we are grateful to the many Chelsea supporters who have provided information so far.

“Our investigations are on-going and we would request any further information is sent to [email protected].

“We also continue to cooperate fully with the Metropolitan and Paris police forces who lead the ongoing criminal investigation.”
