After the excitement of the Carling Cup midweek, its back to the Premiership, and this weekend sees a number of important Premier League games taking place with some valuable points to be won.
Arsenal face West Ham United at the Emirates and a win for the home side will keep Arsene Wenger’s men inside the top four.
Predictably Arsenal are strong favourites with a best price of 1.19 available across the field. Any Hammers fans looking for some value will be spoilt for choice, with Betfair currently offering the best odds of 20.0. We recommend backing Arsenal to beat West Ham with a 2.5 goal lead.
There can only be one winner in Chelsea’s match against Blackburn Rovers. Chelsea should win this match with ease and maintain a five point gap at the top of the table. Bet of the match has to be a Chelsea win by more than three goals at 3.45 which offers great appeal. Or you could could take advantage of the numerous free bets available from online bookmakers. There’s plenty available for this game.
An Everton win over Stoke City will move the Toffees into the top-half of the table for the first time this season. Everton are odds on for a win at 8/13, which offers fair value. The draw at 3.3 looks the best Stoke can hope for.
Wigan will be hard pushed to take anything away from Fulham as Mark Hughes’ men always compete well at home. However, Wigan are improving, which means Fulham may not run away with the game as easily as expected. A 2-1 Fulham win at 9.0 looks a very useful bet indeed.
Manchester City will be odds on to win away from home against Wolverhampton Wanderers. However, Wolves have played very well in the last two games against Manchester United and Chelsea. Both teams to score at evens is a good insurance bet for the weekend.
Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in the most difficult match of the weekend to predict. There is little value in an odds on United win. If Spurs play very well then the draw at 4.0 will make a lot of people a lot of money.
Sunday’s games are kicked off by the Midlands derby between Aston Villa and Birmingham City. Amazingly Villa are odds on regardless of the fact Birmingham now look like a solid Premier League team. There could be an upset here and Birmingham to win at is not be sniffed at.
The second derby of the day takes place in the North East as Newcastle United take on Sunderland. The draw at 3.45 looks tempting and a 1-0 away win at 11.0 isn’t completely out of the question.
Roy Hodgson’s Liverpool will be full of confidence after a gritty win against Blackburn Rovers last weekend. Liverpool are 2.3 to beat Bolton Wanderers away, while 3.1 is available on a Bolton win, which a lot of people will go for.
Blackpool play West Bromwich Albion in the final game of the latest Premier League round. Ironically it’s the match that offers the most value. West Brom look an outrageous price at 2.8 to win the match. Considering West Brom are 6th in the table this seems illogical and a narrow West Brom win should bring the weekend betting to a profitable end!
