United agree loan deal with Sunderland for Welbeck

Manchester United starlet Danny Welbeck is on his way to Sunderland on loan, according to Sky Sports.

Welbeck, 19, came into the limelight after a special goal against Stoke City in the League Cup two seasons ago, and is now thought to be a potential international striker for either England or Ghana. Last season he made a move to Championship side Preston North End in order to receive more play-time.

It looks though, once again, as if Welbeck isn’t featured in Sir Alex Ferguson’s main plans for the forthcoming season, and a deal to shift him to Sunderland looks to be on.

The youngster isn’t the only player that Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is interested in though, with an inquiry made to Manchester City regarding the status of Joe Hart earlier this week.
