With all the domestic campaigns done and dusted, it is time for every club to focus on the transfer market and improve their chances of doing well next season.

Although the transfer window officially opens on the 1st of July, almost every club has started working on their deals and new signings are being confirmed every day. Here at Soccerlens, in our daily transfer news roundup column, we will bring you the latest stories from over the last 24 hours.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirms Tuesday’s big announcement

Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has dropped a major hint regarding his transfer to Manchester United.

The 34 year old is on international duty right now and has been questioned about his future numerous times by the media already. Recently, the striker confirmed that there will be a big announcement on Tuesday.

“There will be a big announcement on the 7th. It will be this summer’s big bomb. It feels good, feels better than good. A lot will happen with this news, so hopefully you’ll all enjoy,” Ibrahimovic said, as quoted by ESPN FC.

Zlatan’s comments will not fuel further speculations that Manchester United are set to complete the move on Tuesday. In reality, the announcement could be about anything.

Last week, Ibrahimovic agreed personal terms with Manchester United and as things stand, he is certainly close to joining the club. However, when that will happen is anyone’s guess.

In all honesty, a transfer will probably be completed after the Euros. The player is completely focused on the European Championship right now and it is unlikely that he will leave the national team camp 3 days before the start of the tournament to travel to Manchester and complete the formalities of the deal.

This could be Zlatan’s final international tournament and the 34 year old will look to make his mark in the Euros. The Swedish superstar is in the form of his life right now and scored 50 goals with PSG last season.

Eden Hazard wants to stay at Chelsea

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has provided the fans with a major boost.

The Belgian winger was a target for Paris Saint-Germain and now he has rubbished all claims about a move and confirmed that he will stay at Chelsea next season.

Hazard said that he feels good at Stamford Bridge and does not intend to leave after a poor season.

He said: “PSG are not part of my plans. I have a contract until 2020, I feel good at Chelsea and I don’t want to finish on a season like we had. Everything was complicated, it was difficult.”

It is evident that the Belgian is looking to have another stellar season with Chelsea, achieve something meaningful before he considers a move to another club in future.

Liverpool want Kieran Gibbs from Arsenal

Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs has been linked with a move away from Emirates.

The English full back has fallen out of favour and will look to complete a transfer away from the London club this summer.

Arsenal are looking to sign Ricardo Rodriguez and with Monreal already at the club, Gibbs is unlikely to get a look in next season.

According to rumours, Liverpool are monitoring his situation and could make a move for him.

Klopp wants to add depth to his left back position and Alberto Moreno has failed to impress so far. The likes of Gibbs, Chilwell and Hector are being looked at by the Merseyside giants.
