Manchester United and Chelsea submit offer for Diarra

Manchester United and Chelsea have both submitted an offer for the Marseille defensive midfielder Lassana Diarra.

The 31 year old midfielder has had an impressive season with the Ligue 1 outfit and is a target for both Premier League clubs.

Reports in the French media state that Diarra has 3 years remaining on his current contract and will be sold if a substantial offer comes in.

They also add that the player had an agreement to leave for free this summer, but the French club are cash strapped and have changed their mind. Diarra’s suitors will have to pay up if they want to sign him.

Ashley Fletcher ready to join West Ham United

Manchester United striker Anthony Fletcher is keen on a transfer away from Old Trafford.

The 20 year old English striker had a productive loan spell at Burnley last season and will join West Ham United after snubbing a new deal at Manchester United.

According to Manchester Evening News, Fletcher is worried about his chances of first team football at Old Trafford. The emergence of Marcus Rashford and the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic have damaged his chances.

The report adds that Fletcher is set for a medical with West Ham United and will join them on a free transfer. However, due to his age, United will receive a fee through a tribunal.

Guardiola prepares mega bid for John Stones

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is looking to beat the competition for John Stones by submitting a mega bid of 50 million pounds for the Everton centre back.

City are in need of defenders and the former Barcelona boss wants the Englishman to join him at Etihad this summer.

Stones is a target for Manchester United and Chelsea as well. Jose Mourinho failed with several bids for Stones during his time at Chelsea and might push for him again with Manchester United.

Telegraph are reporting that Everton value the young defender at 50 million pounds and City are confident of landing him now that England are no longer in the Euros.

Antonio Conte wants Diego Lopez at Chelsea

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has asked the club to sign an experienced goalkeeper this summer.

AC Milan star Diego Lopez is a target for the Blues according to reports in Spain.

Lopez has struggled to get regular first team action at Milan after the emergence of Gianluigi Donnarumma and could be tempted to join Chelsea if they can assure him some game time.

It will be interesting to see if the Blues decide to sell Begovic now after having released Marco Amelia this week.

Daily Mail add that Chelsea are in talks to sign him and have offered him a 3 year contract.
