The Dutch international winger-cum-striker is unhappy at Anfield as he has been denied as much playing time as he would like to get. In 19 appearances so far this season, the versatile Dutchman has started only six matches, leading him to request a loan move next month, a request which Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez rejected.
But it still appears that Babel would like to play somewhere else. Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has already revealed his intentions to strengthen his squad and he would do good to sign the truly talented Babel.
Spurs are likely to launch a 8 million pound bid for Babel but maybe they could just go for a loan deal instead of a permanent one.
