According to a report published by The Independent, Premier League newcomers Wolves are interested in signing Marcos Rojo from Manchester United.

Rojo has battled injury problems during the past two seasons and he only managed 12 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils last season.

United have so far endured a frustrating transfer window with the only notable signing that they have made thus far being Brazilian midfielder Fred.

The defence is one of the areas which Jose Mourinho’s side needs to bolster ahead of the upcoming campaign if they want to challenge for major silverware and the club may be open to offloading Rojo as they look to free up space within the squad and bring in funds.

United are reported to be chasing Tottenham nad Belgium defender Toby Alderweireld who is currently considered one of the best in the World when it comes to practicing the art of defending.

The Red Devils have also been linked with Leicester City’s Harry Maguire who starred for England during the World Cup.

Wolves meanwhile have so far enjoyed a successful transfer window. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have managed to bring in the Portuguese duo of midfielder Joao Moutinho and goalkeeper Rui Patricio.

The signing of Rojo would certainly boost the depth within the Wolves team and also increase the club’s chances of avoiding relegation from the Premier League during the upcoming season.
