Aston Villa are going through a tough financial situation and they are forced to sell some of their star players in the summer transfer window.

Steve Bruce has been told that he will have to sell players before he can think of buying players even on loan or on free transfers.

The likes of Jack Grealish, Jonathan Kodjia and Albert Adomah are likely to be sold this summer. And it seems Mile Jedinak would be heading for the exit door as well.

According to reports from Australian news outlet The World Game, Jedinak is set to leave the Midland club in the summer.

The 33-year-old has agreed a deal to leave Villa. The Australia international, who has 79 caps to his name, now looks likely to depart from Villa Park to join an unnamed club.

Jedinak joined Villa in 2016 from Crystal Palace and has played a key role for Steve Bruce’s side.

In his first season, Jedinak made 33 Championship appearances for the club, and last season he played 25 league games.

Jedinak is on a contract worth £28,000-a-week, and should he leave it will be a significant boost for Villa’s finances.

The former Sydney United midfielder has not returned to pre-season at Villa as he was participating at the Russian World Cup.
